Neese, Gaines, and Weltin Top Cash Winners at the 32nd annual Suzuki Top Showdown at Muddy Creek Raceway

    The 32nd annual SUZUKI Top Gun Showdown went down in the record books as one to remember. Perfect weather the entire weekend, full gates in most all classes, and lots of purse for the for the pros. Super exciting for the riders as well as the spectators.

    Luke Neese won the 1st moto of the 250 PRO class over Nick Gaines and Henry Miller. Neese didn’t get the start he needed the 2nd moto. Caleb Carter got the holeshot and led for several laps. Gaines worked his way to the front and won the moto with Mike Brown and Miller behind. Gaines (2-1) won the overall, Brown (4-2) got 2nd and Miller (3-3) got 3rd over Neese, Carter, Brandon Scharer, and Matt Burkeen.

    The 450 PRO class was loaded with stiff competition. Marshal Weltin went 1-1 for the class win. Brown got 2nd with 5-3 scores, Jamal Porter was 3rd with 4-5 scores followed by Adam Britt (7-4), Miller (2-9), and Logan McConnell (8-6), and Westley Allen (9-8).

    The 3rd annual Cody Gragg Memorial 2 Stroke race (Go Big or Go Home) had over $10,000.00 purse with $4,000 to the winner plus $500 for the holeshot. One moto, six laps for the $10,000. Luke Neese won big. He got the holeshot by a mere 4″ over Hayden Hefner. Hefner then went down on the 1st lap. Brown was rubbing paint in every turn with Neese. Gaines also went down early. Brandon Scharer was in the mix up front as was Miller. Neese held strong and took the win over Brown. Gaines recovered and charged his way back to 3rd over Miller, Scharer, and Weltin. A great event in memory of Cody Gragg and his father Chris.

    Paula Quador won the Chili Cook off, Triston Agee won the Barbie Car Downhill race, Billy Andrews won the Wheelie Contest, and Hayden Hefner & Cory Wagoner teamed up to win the Team Pit Bike race.
